SYSTEMS IMPACTED: Wireless Network 1st Floor Thompson Hall
REASON FOR IMPACT: Power over Ethernet Injector Hardware Failure
SOLUTION: Patched around failed hardware device to restore network access. Wireless access points in Thompson Hall are working correctly.
ADDITIONAL INFORMATION:
·    This only affects users on the first floor of Thompson Hall
·       ​​The university network, internet access and wireless in other campus locations are NOT affected. 
·​        Technology Services is working to remediate the outage

Puget Sound Network: Network Outage (Restored)

 

Issue: Network outage occurred Friday 7/22/2022 @ 12:16 and lasted for approximately 4.5 minutes.

Resolution: The device that caused the outage was rebooted to restore network connectivity.

{PUGETSOUND NETWORKS} ISP Demand Maintenance, Tuesday, July 19, 10:00PM – Wednesday, July 20, 02:00AM [COMPLETE]

·         INTERNET

·         VPN

·         External Access to Campus Servers and Services

REASON FOR IMPACT: Our Internet Service Provider, K20, has scheduled a demand maintenance window beginning at 10 pm on 7/19/22 to 2 am on 7/20/22. K20 will perform a software upgrade on one of the K20 core routers in Seattle. Customers directly connected to this router will see 2 service interruptions of 10 to 15 minutes each.

 

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION:

·         Internal campus networks and Wi-Fi will not be affected. Campus users will be able to access internal servers and services.
