PRINTING: System Restart

REASON FOR IMPACT: The printing system is experiencing some issues and will be restarted at the specified time.

 

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION:

·         Any printing done during the restart window may not work or may be delayed until the system is back up.

·         The PaperCut web interface will not be available during the restart window.

NETWORK: Welcome Center Network Maintenance

Feb 20, 2021 at 5pm to 12am

REASON FOR IMPACT:

To ensure a secure, reliable computing environment TS will be completing routine updates on our networking equipment.

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION:

·       We have completed work for the evening but will need to resume again tomorrow morning at around 10am.

·       Network should be running as normal

·       This work is taking longer than expected.   New ETA for completion is around 12am.  We will send out a notification when we are completed.

·       Some of our networking equipment require a firmware update.

·       Network services in the Welcome Center will be intermittent from 5pm to 10pm

·       Services such as wireless, phones and data network will be affected in this building only.

·       Thank you for your patience as we conduct this important work.

REASON FOR IMPACT: The KACE Ticketing system may experience an outage today as we work with a vendor to resolve stability issues we have been recently experiencing.

 

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION:

·         If the system experiences an outage it will be brought back up shortly after.

·         Any ticket updates sent by email will need to be manually added by queue owners during any outage period.

SYSTEMS IMPACTED: Inbound and Outbound Internet will be intermittingly unavailable for short periods (~2-5 minutes).

REASON FOR IMPACT: To ensure a secure, reliable computing environment TS will be completing routine updates on our firewall.

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION:

·       A security vulnerability has been identified which necessitates upgrading our firewalls.

·         Internet access will be intermittent as equipment is rebooted

·         VPN connections may disconnected

·         VPN Clients will automatically ask you to upgrade once our maintenance is completed

·         All internal services will continue to work as normal including phone services.

·      Thank you for your patience as we conduct this important work.
