Canvas Learning Management System Outage 32019 1:30PM

SYSTEM: Canvas Learning Management System unplanned outage

March 28, 2019 1:30pm, no ETR

REASON FOR IMPACT: The Canvas Learning Management System is a cloud based service.  Canvas is experience technical difficulties with their login and authentication system.  Customers are unable to access Canvas LMS.

·         Canvas Support is aware of the outage and is working to identify the cause and restoration of the system.

Various Puget Sound systems and applications

DATE(s) of IMPACT: Sunday, March 10th, 6 a.m.-3 p.m.

REASON FOR IMPACT: To ensure a secure, reliable computing environment TS will be completing routine patch maintenance on our Puget Sound production servers.

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION:

·       The university network, internet access and wireless will NOT be affected.

·       Technology Services schedules regular maintenance windows, generally on the second Sunday of every month, to ensure a secure, reliable computing environment. Thank you for your patience as we conduct this important work.

PeopleSoft DEV/TST Planned Maintenance: Thurs, Mar 14th @ 6 a.m. – Fri Mar 15th @ 5 p.m.

This is a message from Technology Services regarding upcoming scheduled Patch Maintenance. Please see details below.

PEOPLESOFT DEV & TST: Planned Maintenance

Thursday, March 14th @ 6 a.m. – Friday, March 15th @ 5 p.m. 

SYSTEMS IMPACTED:  

·         DEV Refreshes:

o   Impact: The following PeopleSoft DEV environments will be unavailable [PA91DEV, CS92DEV, FN92DEV, HR92DEV]

o   Duration: Thursday, March 14th all day

·         TST Refreshes:

o   Impact: All PeopleSoft TST environments will be unavailable [PA91TST, CS92TST, FN92TST, HR92TST]

o   Duration: Friday, March 15th all day

 

REASON FOR IMPACT: Refreshing our databases is a standard practice to maintain reliable environments.

 

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION:

·         Communications about maintenance on PeopleSoft DEV and TST environments are delivered to the PeopleSoft distribution lists.

·         Communication about maintenance for PRD environments are routed through the TS Communications Listserv.
