Cascade Release 10.8 – 08.11.2010

Cascade Release 10.8 is planned for August 11, 2010.  This release will include the following features and fixes:

  • Modify SETE to Support Student I-9 (ticket 97008)
  • Modify Security Dispatcher – Student Role with Dept Menu (ticket 95731)
  • Remove Supporting Courses List from Dept Course Listing (ticket 94209)
  • Add UPSID to Student Account Self Services Pages (ticket 97417)
  • Update Race & Ethnicity for Students Across Systems (ticket 96920)

[Complete] Pre-Production Maintenance — Thursday July 15th, 7:00 AM – 9:00 AM

Update at 10:30 AM:  After database refreshes, all dev/test services should now be back online, maintenance is complete.

Update at 9:09 AM:  Some hiccups happened with the database refresh of dev/test databases.  Due to that the following servers are still offline:  lummi, decautr, and hope.  All other servers and services are online

On Thursday July15th from 7:00 AM – 9:00 AM the following pre-production servers may be unavailable due to maintenance:

[Complete] Production Maintenance Window 7/25/10 from 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM

Update at 2:30PM 7/25/2010:  All services are back online as of 2PM.

The next production maintenance window is Sunday, July 25th, from 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM.

From 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM some services may be intermittently or entirely unavailable, including:
  • E-mail
  • Database Applications: Cascade, FAMIS, Millennium, and Banner
  • Web services such as www.pugetsound.edu and cs.pugetsound.edu

The following services will not be impacted:

  • Personal and departmental file shares (on Alexandria and Merlin2)
  • Moodle

SafeConnect Administration Server Upgrade.

FYI

Monday, July 12th between 5:00-6:00am we are scheduled to have a Safe Connect Server Upgrade installed.  This process will not effect users on the network.  The most noticeable result of the upgrade with be a visible change to the Safe Connect Administration Console.
