[Original Post] Password synchronization is currently not functional. Password changes made in Cascade will not carry over to other Puget Sound systems (email, PeopleSoft, vDesk, Moodle). We are working to resolve this as quickly as possible and apologize for the inconvenience.

Email Service Announcement

Preparation for an upgrade of our email server began this week Monday, August 12. Since then, some members of the campus community have unexpectedly experienced difficulty accessing their email, calendar, or Out of Office functionality.

We apologize for any problems or inconvenience this has caused. We are working to make this transition as seamless as possible and to identify and resolve any issues that arise along the way. Production Server Patch Maintenance 8/11/2013 [Completed]

[Update]  Production Server Patch Maintenance has been completed.

[Original] The Production Server Patch Maintenance is scheduled for 8/11/2013.  Most services may be intermittently or entirely unavailable, including:  Email, Personal and departmental file shares (on Alexandria and Merlin2), Webservices such as www.pugetsound.edu, Mahara and Moodle, Print Services, and the Optimize HR Production servers and services.

Enrollment Data Issue 7/26/13 [Resolved]

[Updated 7/26/13 4:40 p.m.] The enrollment data in PeopleSoft has been restored and all dependent information, including student schedules and class rosters, should be accurate. Network and Phone Outage in McIntyre 7/15/13 [Resolved]

[Original] Due to a minor, unexpected power outage in McIntyre Hall, network and phone service is currently unavailable in the building. Due to the impact on the university’s server room located in McIntyre, other services across campus may be affected. Email System Maintenance 6/24/13 [Completed]

Maintenance work on the university’s email system is scheduled for Monday, June 24, from 10:00 p.m. to midnight. This work is required to prepare for our upgrade to Exchange 2013 later this year. [Original Post] A scheduled outage is planned on Wednesday, May 8, from 5:00 to 5:30 a.m. for the K-20 Internet connection provided in academic and administrative buildings. Campus residences will not be affected. We anticipate the disruption in service will last approximately 5 minutes during this outage window.

[Resolved] VDesk Problems 5/1/13

[Updated 10:23 PM] The vDesk application launch problem has been resolved.

Users are experiencing a problem when launching certain applications, most notably Firefox, on vDesk. We are currently troubleshooting the problem.
