Email Delivery Issues 4/14/2014 [Resolved]

[Updated 4/17/2014 3:30 pm] The last remaining issue with Puget Sound hosted list-servs has been resolved! All email delivery has been restored. Thank you very much for your patience while we’ve worked through all of these issues.

We are working on resolving one last issue with Puget Sound hosted list-servs. There may be delivery delays with email from Puget Sound list-servs this morning while work is in progress. [Original] Members of the campus community have reported difficulties with receiving email from external (non-Puget Sound) email addresses. This is related to the server maintenance and resulting delivery interruptions from yesterday. We apologize for the inconvenience and are working to resolve the issue as quickly as possible.

PeopleSoft Unavailable 11/19/13 [Resolved]

The university’s PeopleSoft system was unavailable for approximately one hour from 7:25 to 8:25 p.m. This impacted Financials, Human Resources, Campus Solutions, and the Time Clock database. PeopleSoft HR Unavailable 11/18/13 [Resolved]

[Updated 11/18/13 10:45 a.m.] Access to PeopleSoft HR was restored at 8:52 a.m. this morning. Again, we apologize for the inconvenience.

[Original] PeopleSoft HR is currently unavailable, due to an unexpected issue that we are working to resolve. Other PeopleSoft environments (Campus, Financials) do not seem to be affected. We apologize for the inconvenience, and hope to restore access as soon as possible.

Network and Phone Outage in McIntyre 7/15/13 [Resolved]

[Updated 7/15/13, 11:10 a.m.] All services have been restored to McIntyre Hall. Work continues to provide a permanent solution to the power problem that occurred. If you experience any further issues, please contact the Technology Service Desk at 253.879.8585 or servicedesk@pugetsound.edu.

[Original] Due to a minor, unexpected power outage in McIntyre Hall, network and phone service is currently unavailable in the building. Due to the impact on the university’s server room located in McIntyre, other services across campus may be affected. Switch failure in Trimble 107.

The defective switch has been replaced, so Trimble network is back to normal.  8:30pm 4/6/2013.

A switch failed in Trimble 107 IDF causing an outage of the wireless and most of the basement and first floor wired jacks. We have restored the wireless and most of the building, by by-passing the defective switch. We are working to configure a new switch and replacing it asap. I would anticipate approximately one hour before the entire building is back in service.              9:10pm 4/6/2013.
