Music Network: Planned Maintenance

Thursday, August 6 | 7:00 a.m. – 9:00 a.m.

SYSTEMS IMPACTED: 

  • Music Building floors L through 1 (Wi-Fi, Ethernet, Phones)

REASON FOR MAINTENANCE:

  • Technology Services will be upgrading network switches

 

WHAT YOU SHOULD KNOW:

  • During the maintenance window, outages will occur in the locations listed above.

Network Security Devices (Firewalls): Planned Maintenance

Wednesday, August 5 | 6:00 a.m. – 7:00 a.m.

WHAT YOU SHOULD KNOW:

  • A brief internet outage of a minute or two can occur when failing between firewalls.

  • Security Services will remain reachable at (253) 879-3311 during this time.

SYSTEMS IMPACTED: 

  • Inbound and outbound internet access

  • GlobalProtect VPN

  • Systems requiring Internet connectivity on campus, such as Zoom phones and blue pole emergency towers

REASON FOR MAINTENANCE:

  • Technology Services is restarting the campus firewalls to clear a memory condition.
