Webmail SSL Certificate Renewal 10/8/2014 [Completed]

The SSL certificate for Webmail will be renewed at 6 p.m. today, 10/8/2014.  The impact of this change should be minimal, and all email services including Webmail should remain available during this time. The process should take about 10 minutes to complete.

[Update] The work was completed successfully. Certain versions of Firefox on the MacIntosh may have trouble with the new certificate.We are investigating the issue.

Email System Maintenance 6/24/13 [Completed]

Maintenance work on the university’s email system is scheduled for Monday, June 24, from 10:00 p.m. to midnight. This work is required to prepare for our upgrade to Exchange 2013 later this year. Members of the Puget Sound community should not experience any disruption in their university email service. Scheduled Maintenance 5/25/13 [Completed]

[Updated 3:10 a.m. 5/25/13] The maintenance work was completed.

[Original Post] We will conduct additional maintenance work from 12:00 to 4:00 a.m. on Saturday, May 25, to help ensure the university’s Internet connections are more resistant to unplanned outages. Multiple brief interruptions in our Internet services may be required in order to complete this important work. Thank you for your patience and understanding.

SafeConnect Upgrade Scheduled

Impulse Point will be upgrading our SafeConnect server on Wednesday 5/22 starting at 5:00am PDT.

The upgrade is scheduled to take approximately 2 hours, commencing no later than 8:00am PDT.

During the 2 hour upgrade period the server will fail open allowing all access until the upgrade is complete.

When the server is re-established, any user that is not compliant may be blocked, but all compliant users will not notice any change.

[Completed] Optimize HR Non-production Patch Maintenance for 3/3/2013 from 8 am to 1 pm.

[Completed] The Optimize HR Non-Production servers, are scheduled to be patched on 3/3/2013 from 8 am to 1 pm. These are non-production servers and should not affect the remainder of the Optimize servers currently running, nor should any services on Campus be affected.

An update will be posted once server maintenance has been completed.

[Completed] 5-10-minute Interruption in Internet Service 2/22/2013

Update: 6:10 am. The replacement was completed without incident at 5:40 am. All services are online.

The Internet connection for university servers and the academic/administrative networks will be interrupted for 5-10 minutes between 5:30 and 6:00 AM Friday morning, while a faulty firewall device is replaced.

This outage will affect all outward-facing university services, but will will not affect the residential networks.
