[Original Post] Turnitin, a plugin service in Moodle, may be intermittently unavailable during a scheduled maintenance period on Saturday, November 2, from 7:00 to 11:00 a.m. Instructors are encouraged to modify assignment due dates either before or at least several hours after the scheduled maintenance window. [Original Post] Due to scheduled maintenance, Cascade and the university’s email system will be intermittently or entirely unavailable between 3:00 a.m. and noon on Sunday, October 13. An update will be posted once this maintenance is completed.

[Updated 4:37 p.m.] vDesk was restored to service at about 4:15 PM.
vDesk is currently unavailable due to some problems encountered during the scheduled maintenance. The problem began at about 1:30 PM. We are currently working to restore service as soon as possible. We apologize for the inconvenience.

On Wednesday 12/22/2010, we will migrate the server moodle.pugetsound.edu to VMware. The server will be offline for the duration of the move.
A problem with our webmail server caused inbound mail to be delayed, possibly for as much as 3 hours. The situation has been resolved as of 4 PM.

Updated 9/16/2010 @ 8:56 AM: All services are back online with the exception of bjp and banner job submission in dev/test. We expect these services to be online at approximately 10 AM.
On Thursday September 16th from 7:00 AM – 9:00 AM the following pre-production servers may be unavailable due to maintenance:
Memory in the virtual machine mysql.pugetsound.edu will be upgraded from 768MB to 2GB at 5:30 am on Wednesday September 8th. This increase is needed in order to cache the increasing amount of database transactions running through this system.
The system will be offline briefly, between 5:30 and 5:35am.
