Monday – Tuesday, November 23-24, 2020 [RESOLVED]

 

REASON FOR IMPACT: We are currently experiencing a phone issue where outbound dialing is not working.

 

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION:

·        Update (11/24, 10:30PM):  Outbound dialing has been restored.  Please let us know if you are still experiencing any issues.  Thank you for your patience.

·        Update (11/24: 09:30AM):  Outgoing calls are still not functioning.  The phone provider indicates that it may not be until 8pm tonight until all services are restored.  We will keep monitoring this and update accordingly.  Thank you for your patience.

·        Update (11/24: 01:14AM):  Unfortunately our phone provider was not able to get the needed parts to repair their equipment.  This means that outbound calls are still not functional at this time.  Incoming calls are functioning normally and internal dialing is working as normal.  The phone provider has not given us an ETA on when this will be resolved.  We apologize for the inconvenience and appreciate everyone’s patience.

{NETWORK} Internet Maintenance – Saturday, Nov 14, 6 a.m. – 7 a.m.

Network: Internet Maintenance

Saturday, November 14 from 6 a.m. – 7 a.m.

REASON FOR IMPACT: Technology Services will be conducting maintenance with our primary Internet provider K20 and moving our internet link to a new fiber transport line.

 

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION:

·         Brief intermittent Internet outages will occur doing this maintenance.  Outages should be less than a few minutes.  We expect this should only take about 15-20 minutes in total but reserving an hour in the case any issues arise and for troubleshooting.

·         During outages, inbound and outbound internet traffic will be intermittingly impacted.  This includes using the VPN, email and access to other University resources that are being reached externally through the internet.  These disruptions will be momentary.

·         Internal networking should function as normal.

·         Outages will be minimal.  In the event of a longer outage our backup internet line will take over.
