NETWORK: VPN Inaccessible

REASON FOR IMPACT:

Update: VPN should be working as normal without giving any errors.  If you continue having issues please let the Service Desk know.

Access to the university VPN is inaccessible at this time due to an expired certificate.  We are working to resolve this issue as soon as possible.  As an alternative to using the VPN, users may opt to use vDesk to access university systems and applications.

Planned Maintenance: myPugetSound, PeopleSoft Campus Solutions [COMPLETE]

Friday, July 24  @ 5 p.m. to Sunday, July 26 @ 8 p.m.

REASON FOR IMPACT: Technology’s Services needs to update myPugetSound and PeopleSoft Campus Solutions to a more recent version so we have a secure and reliable environment. myPugetSound and PeopleSoft Campus Solutions will still look and feel the same as it did prior to the planned maintenance.

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION:

·         If you have issues connecting to myPugetSound or PeopleSoft Campus Solutions after the planned maintenance please try clearing your browser cache.

·         PeopleSoft Campus Solutions Menu – The blue menu bar has slightly changed to include a navigator icon in the upper right hand area of the screen. If you login often directly to PeopleSoft Campus Solutions and have pages set as a “Favorite” you can now access those by following the below steps:  

o    Select “Personalize Content”

o    Select “menu” in pop out message

o    View “my favorites” on left hand side of the screen

o    To access all other pages utilize the new “navigator icon” in upper right hand side of the page.

REASON FOR IMPACT:

Update: The wireless outage was due to bad configuration applied by one of our vendors.  We have reverted the change and wireless has been restored.

We are currently experiencing a wireless outage affecting parts of the campus.  We are investigating the cause and hope to have the wireless restored as soon as possible.

Webmail SSL Certificate Renewal 10/8/2014 [Completed]

The SSL certificate for Webmail will be renewed at 6 p.m. today, 10/8/2014.  The impact of this change should be minimal, and all email services including Webmail should remain available during this time. The process should take about 10 minutes to complete.

[Update] The work was completed successfully. Certain versions of Firefox on the MacIntosh may have trouble with the new certificate.We are investigating the issue.
