Unable to access email via Webmail 1/12/2016 [Resolved]

[Original Post] Some members of the campus community have reported that they are unable to access their email via Webmail. After logging in to Webmail, they receive a page that says “Bad Request.” They are still able to access email via Outlook and a mobile device. We apologize for the inconvenience and are working to resolve this issue.

vDesk Unavailable Due To Scheduled Maintenance 12/21/2015

vDesk will be unavailable while it is being upgraded on Monday, December 21 from 5 am – 7 am. The update will result in cosmetic changes only, and absolutely no different actions are required on your part. When you next login to vDesk after the upgrade, you will simply see new login and landing screens. All of the same software choices as before will appear and will function in exactly the same way.

Stafffiles Not Accessible 10/30/2015 [Resolved]

[Updated 10/30/2015 12:00 pm] Access to the stafffiles fileserver was restored at noon. Thank you for your patience.

[Updated 10/30/2015 9:45 am] Scan folders for copiers on campus are also affected, since all scan folders are hosted on the stafffiles file server. Scanning from copiers will not work until stafffiles access is restored.

[Original Post] Members of the campus community have reported that they are unable to access their network shares on our stafffiles (merlin2) file server. The fileservers facultyfiles and studentfiles (alexandria) seem to be fine. We apologize for the inconvenience and are working to resolve this as quickly as possible.

PeopleSoft Financials and HR Issue 10/26/2015 [Resolved]

[Original Post] Members of the campus community have reported issues with PeopleSoft Financials and PeopleSoft HR this morning. We are receiving a “secure connection failed” error when trying to load PeopleSoft Financials, and a different error when trying to access Careers in PeopleSoft HR. Issues Printing to Lab Printers 9/29/2015 [Resolved]

[Original Post] Students have reported intermittent issues printing to lab printers. In some cases, printers are not appearing as available in print menu options from vDesk applications. Unable to Load External Websites in Wyatt 9/21/2015 [Resolved]

[Updated 11/19/2015 3:15 pm] After extensive research and troubleshooting, we believe we’ve identified a fix for this issue, and have put in in place. Early reports are that wired internet connectivity has been fine for Mac users in Wyatt (wireless and Windows wired users were unaffected). Thank you very much for your patience.

[Original Post] We have received reports that some individuals in Wyatt have been unable to load external websites (websites that aren’t hosted here on campus). They are able to reach internal (pugetsound.edu) websites without issue. We apologize for the inconvenience, and are working to resolve this issue as quickly as possible.

Wired network connection issue 8/25/2015 [Resolved]

[Original Post] We are currently experiencing an issue with the quality of service on our wired network. You may experience large (over 500 MB) downloads from Internet sites failing. These downloads can be resumed, and eventually will download successfully. We apologize for the inconvenience and are working to resolve this issue as quickly as possible.

Email Delivery Delays 8/18/2015 [Resolved]

Password Synchronization Not Working 8/17/2015

Member of the campus community have reported that our Puget Sound account password synchronization process does not seem to be working. If you change your Puget Sound password in Cascade, it is not currently automatically syncing over to Webmail, PeopleSoft, myPugetSound, and other systems.

In the meantime, if you reset your password in Cascade, please also manually reset it in Webmail (which will also sync over to PeopleSoft and myPugetSound).
