myPugetSound and PeopleSoft Intermittently Unavailable [Resolved]

[Original Post] Access to myPugetSound and PeopleSoft Financials seems to be intermittently unavailable. We are working to resolve these issues and will post updates as we have them. Thank you for your patience.

Telephone System Upgrade 7 p.m. 7/10/15 – 5 p.m. 7/12/15 [Completed]

[Updated 1:30 a.m. 7/12] Phone system upgrade complete.

Starting Friday evening at 7 p.m., TS staff will be performing an upgrade to the telephone system. Phones may power cycle multiple times during the upgrade but we do not expect any system-wide outages.

Webmail Not Loading Email 6/19/2015 [Resolved]

[Updated 06/19/2015 10:45 am] Access to email via Webmail has been restored for all of the campus community. We apologize again for the inconvenience and thank you for your patience.

[Original Post] Some members of the campus community have reported that they have been unable to access their email via Webmail. After logging in, Webmail does not load their mailbox and appears to hang. We apologize for the inconvenience and are working to resolve this issue.

VPN Connections Unavailable 6/12/2015 [Resolved]

[Updated 10:43 a.m. 6/15/2015] Our internet service provider has communicated that this issue was resolved. These problems were due to a region-wide routing issue, and continued until about 8 p.m. Saturday night.

[Updated 1:45 p.m. 6/12/2015] Some of the issues have been due to versioning issues with the VPN client, which have been resolved. Many other members of the campus community still report being unable to connect. This has been traced to problems at our internet service provider. They are currently trying to resolve the issue.

Network Interruption 5-5:10 p.m. 6/11/2015 [Complete]

[Updated 5:07 p.m. 6/11/2015]  The maintenance has been completed successfully. Internet connectivity is fully restored.

[Original] Thursday evening from 5-5:10 p.m., TS staff will need to perform some urgent maintenance on critical network infrastructure. During this time all outside network services will have no availability.

Campus Systems Unavailable Due to Maintenance 6/14/2015 [completed]

[Updated 6/14/2015 10:08am] Our scheduled maintenance has been completed.

[Original] Due to scheduled maintenance, all campus systems will be intermittently or entirely unavailable between 3:00 a.m. and noon on Sunday, June 14. Affected services include the university website, myPugetSound, PeopleSoft, Cascade, Moodle, and Exchange (email and calendar). An update will be posted once this maintenance is completed.

Technology Services schedules regular maintenance windows on the second Sunday of every month to ensure a secure, reliable computing environment. Thank you for your patience as we conduct this important work!​

PeopleSoft Financials Unavailable Saturday, May 30 between 8:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m. [Complete]

[Update – 5/30/15 5:30 p.m.] The update to PeopleSoft Financials is now complete and the environment is available for use. Links in myPugetSound have been restored and are available for use as well.

[Original]This is a reminder that PeopleSoft Financials will be entirely unavailable between 8:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m. on Saturday, May 30th  in order to complete an upgrade to PeopleTools 8.54 and apply application maintenance packs. During this window, links to Financials items in myPugetSound will not be displayed. Please note that PeopleSoft Campus and PeopleSoft Human Resources will be unaffected and can still be accessed through Cascade or myPugetSound.

PeopleSoft Human Resources Unavailable Saturday, May 16 – Monday, May 18 [Complete]

[Updated, Monday, May 18th] The upgrade to PeopleSoft Human Resources is now complete and the environment is now available for use at https://pshrms.pugetsound.edu or through myPugetSound.

[Original] Due to a scheduled upgrade, PeopleSoft Human Resources will be entirely unavailable from 8:00 a.m. Saturday, May 16 through 8:00 a.m. Monday, May 18. Links to Human Resources items in myPugetSound will not be displayed during this time frame.

Please note that PeopleSoft Campus and PeopleSoft Financials will be unaffected and can still be accessed through Cascade or myPugetSound. We appreciate your patience as we conduct this necessary work.

vDesk applications unavailable from off-campus 5/15/2015 [Resolved]

Access to vDesk has been restored. Please contact the Technology Service Desk if you experience any difficulty accessing vDesk.  We apologize again for the inconvenience.

[Original Post] We have received reports from members of the campus community who are off-campus using Mac OS 10.10 (Yosemite) that they are unable to launch vDesk applications.  They receive a certificate error, and the application does not launch. We have not yet received reports from members who are using other versions of the Mac OS or Windows, but they may be affected as well. On-campus access to vDesk has been unaffected.

We apologize for the inconvenience and are working to resolve this issue as quickly as possible.

myPugetSound Unavailable – Saturday, May 9 [Complete]

[Updated 5/9/15 2:30pm] The PeopleTools upgrade of myPugetSound to 8.54 is complete, and the environment is now available for use at https://my.pugetsound.edu.
