Pre-Production Server Patch Maintenance is scheduled for 3/8/2015 [Completed]

[Update 03/08/2015 10:15 a.m.] We have successfully transitioned the mailflow from using edge.pugetsound.edu to using Microsoft’s Exchange Online Protection directly. This was a step towards decommissioning the Exchange 2007 environment.  Also the Pre-Production Server Patch Maintenance has been completed successfully.  Thank you!

Online Service Desk Unavailable Due To Maintenance 2/21/2015 – 2/22/2015 [Completed]

PeopleSoft and Cascade Non-Production Environments Unavailable – 1/28/15 [Completed]

[Updated 1/28/2015, 9:21 p.m.] The patching was completed successfully and all affected environments are back online with the exception of Cascade DEV.  Cascade DEV will remain unavailable until our refresh tomorrow.

[Original] In order to apply an emergency security patch, ALL PeopleSoft DEV and TST environments, as well as Cascade DEV and TST, will be unavailable tonight, January 28, from 6 to 10 p.m.  An update will be posted once service has been restored.

Please note this outage will NOT affect the production systems which will remain available to end users as usual.

myPugetSound and PeopleSoft Campus Unavailable – Saturday, January 24 [Completed]

[Updated 1/24/15, 2:24 p.m.] The upgrade was completed successfully. PeopleSoft Campus and myPugetSound are now back in service.

[Original] Due to a scheduled system upgrade, myPugetSound and PeopleSoft Campus, including Student Center, will be unavailable between 7:00 a.m. and 4:00 p.m. on Saturday, January 24. Please note that PeopleSoft Financials and PeopleSoft Human Resources will not be affected and can still be accessed through Cascade.

Cascade Maintenance at 6:30 PM 10/24/14 [Completed]

Email Upgrade and Pre-Production Patch Maintenance 10/12/14 [completed]

[Updated 10/12/2014, 8:40 am ] The email services upgrade, was unsuccessful and was rolled back to before the upgrade started this morning.  All other server updates have been completed, and services affected are back online.

[Original post] An upgrade to the campus email system and patch maintenance on the pre-production servers are scheduled for Sunday, 10/12/14, from 3 a.m. to noon.

Email services will be disrupted during the upgrade which involves updating the theme on the sign-in page for Webmail, also known as Outlook Web Access or OWA.

Other services, such as Cascade and PeopleSoft, individual and departmental file shares, and web services (Moodle, vDesk, the university’s website, etc.), should NOT be affected.

The maintenance window will include security SSL updates to some production servers, but most services should not be affected as part of that process.
