Do to the unscheduled extended outage this morning the following servers were affected during the outage (Camano, Grace, Crystal, Rainier, and Whidbey). This temporarily caused Cascade and other services to be unaccessible. The outage was extended from 06:30 am to 08:00 am, all services to these servers are back online and accessible now.
We have resolved the issues related to the following non-production servers ( Pilchuck, Lummi, Kickstart and Moodle2). The servers are back on-line and operational once again.
We are currently experience patch related issues with the following non-production servers ( Pilchuck, Lummi, Kickstart and Moodle2). We are working to resolve these issues as quickly as possible. A notification will be sent out as soon as these issues have been resolved.
Gehenna is experiencing a physical memory issue and will be off-line 3/5/09 between 6:45 AM and 7:30 AM for maintenance and troubleshooting. There is no expected impact to campus users as services will be re-routed to another server.
Patch cluster installs and maintenance upgrades were performed on Rainier and Whidbey between 8:00 am and 11:00 pm Sunday morning. These patch clusters are required for the upcoming SAN migration.
A patch cluster upgrade was performed on Camano from 4:30 am to 6:00 am Thursday morning. This cluster patch is required for the upcoming SAN migration.
Patch cluster upgrades were performed on Grace from 1:00 pm to 3:00 pm Wednesday afternoon. These patches were needed for the upcoming SAN migration.
Patch cluster upgrades were performed on Crystal from 4:00 pm to 5:45 pm Tuesday afternoon. These patches were needed for the upcoming SAN migration.
On Sunday the 21st of September 2008, there was scheduled maintenance on Camano and Grace, for Solaris9 cluster patches as well as J2SE “java” related patches. There was also a hardware replacement of a power supply for the server known as Camano. Both servers were up and running without incident by 10:30 a.m. Sunday.
