Due to the impact on the university’s server room located in McIntyre, other services across campus may be affected. Email System Maintenance 6/24/13 [Completed]

Maintenance work on the university’s email system is scheduled for Monday, June 24, from 10:00 p.m. to midnight. This work is required to prepare for our upgrade to Exchange 2013 later this year. Members of the Puget Sound community should not experience any disruption in their university email service. [Original] The Production Server Patch Maintenance is scheduled for 6/9/2013.  Most services may be intermittently or entirely unavailable, including:

  • Email
  • Personal and departmental file shares (on FacultyFiles, StaffFiles, and StudentFiles)
  • Database applications that include Cascade
  • Web services such as www.pugetsound.edu,  Mahara, and Moodle
  • vDesk
  • Print Services
  • Optimize production servers and services

Pre-production Patch Maintenance for 5/30/2013 [Completed]

[Updated  5/30/2013, 9:05 am]  Pre-Production Patch Maintenance has been completed.  A separate notification of the Production Patch Maintenance will be posted at a later date.

Scheduled Maintenance 5/25/13 [Completed]

[Original Post] We will conduct additional maintenance work from 12:00 to 4:00 a.m. on Saturday, May 25, to help ensure the university’s Internet connections are more resistant to unplanned outages. SafeConnect Upgrade Scheduled

Impulse Point will be upgrading our SafeConnect server on Wednesday 5/22 starting at 5:00am PDT.

The upgrade is scheduled to take approximately 2 hours, commencing no later than 8:00am PDT.

During the 2 hour upgrade period the server will fail open allowing all access until the upgrade is complete.

When the server is re-established, any user that is not compliant may be blocked, but all compliant users will not notice any change.

Scheduled Internet Outage 5/8/13 [Completed]

[Updated 5/8/13] The scheduled maintenance was completed between 5:05 and 5:11 a.m. without incident. Thank you for your patience!

[Original Post] A scheduled outage is planned on Wednesday, May 8, from 5:00 to 5:30 a.m. for the K-20 Internet connection provided in academic and administrative buildings. Campus residences will not be affected. We anticipate the disruption in service will last approximately 5 minutes during this outage window.

[Resolved] VDesk Problems 5/1/13

[Updated 10:23 PM] The vDesk application launch problem has been resolved.

Users are experiencing a problem when launching certain applications, most notably Firefox, on vDesk. We are currently troubleshooting the problem.

[Updated 4/13/2013 10:33 AM] Integra has determined the issue to be a power outage in the area. They are working to resolve the issue. No resolution time has been determined at this point.
