NOTE: As of 12 PM, the maintenance has been completed. All services are online and available.

Technology Services Monthly Maintenance is scheduled for Sunday, October 30, from 8:00 AM to 12:00 PM. Cascade, Banner, Millennium, and the university’s website will not be affected.

The services which may be intermittently or entirely unavailable during this maintenance window include:

[Resolved] Update on Email Issues 10/13/11

Some Macintosh computer users were unable to connect to Puget Sound email accounts via Entourage and Outlook 2011 this morning. The issue has been resolved.

On Wednesday, 10/12/11, there were some delays with the delivery of email messages from Puget Sound accounts to Yahoo accounts. By 5:15 p.m., mail flow had returned to normal.

[Completed] Production Patch Maintenance 09/25/2011

[Updated 9/25/11, 12:02 PM] The quarterly patch maintenance was completed at 11:55 AM, and all systems are back online. The next production patch window is scheduled for Sunday, October 30, and will be a monthly patch.

The quarterly patch maintenance is scheduled for Sunday the 25th of September 2011, from 4:00 AM to 12:00 PM. All services may be intermittently or entirely unavailable, including:

  • Email
  • Personal and departmental file shares (on Alexandria and Merlin2)
  • Database applications: Cascade, FAMIS, Millennium, and Banner
  • Web services such as www.pugetsound.edu, cs.pugetsound.edu, and Moodle
  • Print Services
  • vDesk

[Resolved] Moodle Intermittently Unavailable 9/14/11

[Update 6:15 AM 9/15/2011] Moodle service is now restored.

[Update 1:32 AM] Moodle is unavailable as of 11:30 this evening. We are currently working on the problem, and we will have service restored by the start of classes today.

[Update 4:45 PM] Moodle will be unavailable from 7:15 to 7:30 tonight so maintenance can be performed to address the issues experienced today. We hope to see service restored and stabilized once that is done. Thank you again for your patience.

The Moodle learning management system is experiencing intermittent service disruptions at this time. We are working as quickly as possible to stabilize the availability of this service. We appreciate your patience.

[Resolved] vDesk Performance and Printing Problems – Week of 9/5/2011

Throughout this past week many members of the campus community have experienced problems with the new vDesk applications. These have included trouble launching applications and an inability to view or print to available printers. As of Friday morning 9/9/2011 we have been able to alleviate the situation. We continue to monitor the system.
