As a Puget Sound student, you’re immersed in an environment where you constantly evolve—actively becoming the best version of yourself.
You are under construction.
Part of that construction is your career development, including what you’ll pursue when you leave Puget Sound.
Ignoring career development is like omitting electrical wiring from a modern building. Sure, you can manage for a while, but eventually you’ll get tired of stumbling around in the dark.
Fortunately, CES provides tools to help you create your future, so get ready to break ground!
Career-related events are an easy way to start. Simply by showing up you’ll be exposing yourself to new ideas and expanding your perspective of what’s possible.
• Attend the Career Fair every single semester. Regardless of your major, it’s a chance to explore options and practice conducting yourself in a professional manner. When you’re ready to seek opportunities, you’ll be more comfortable with the process and better equipped to successfully compete.
• Use the ASK Network and attend events featuring alumni—like ASK Night—to begin building a network of career connectivity. Puget Sound alumni have been where you are, and they’re eager to share their experience with you. The advice they offer can be invaluable.
Be proactive about your career development. Use the tools CES provides just for you. You’re under construction—start building!
