The soft summer susurrous has given way to hectic hubbub as students and parents converge on campus. There’s no denying it…fall has arrived.

And Career and Employment Services (CES) is ready! We’re here to welcome you with open arms, web tools, and career books aplenty.

Our office hours have changed slightly. Starting August 30th, you can find us in Howarth Hall, Room 101 Monday-Friday from 8:30 a.m. – 5:00 p.m. Stop by to make an appointment, or peruse the new Career Resource Library books.

Drop-in Advising Hours also resume on the 30th. Need a quick résumé review, or have an urgent career query? Drop by for a 10-15 minute mini-session with a career advisor Monday-Friday between 2:00 & 4:00 p.m.

New web resources await you in CES Exclusive Career Resources on Cascade:

Going Global is a brand new resource to help you research how to get a job overseas–and in major U.S. cities too!

The Alumni Sharing Knowledge (ASK) Network has a whole new look, including new search fields. Try searching on a major to see who comes up, and what they are doing! Keep in mind, alumni haven’t had much time to populate all of the system’s new fields, so keep your searches general for the best results. For example, searching for alums who attended graduate school produces many more profiles than searching for a specific graduate school in a specific field.

LoggerJobs, InternshipLink, and Career Cruising are still there too, to help you find jobs and internships, and explore careers.

Want a demo? Drop-in Advising Hours are a great time to get a personalized introduction of all CES’ online career resources! (Hint-hint.)

Welcome back!!
