Printing System

I was hoping you could switch the printing system of the library back to how it was last year. I heard that the system changed which affected how the printing was set up, but it’s awful to see how much paper is wasted. I haven’t heard a single person who likes this new printing system, and I think we would all appreciate knowing that we aren’t wasting as much. Thank you so much!

We continue to receive a lot of feedback about printing since the beginning of the semester.  Technology Services is very receptive to the problems you have been having.  One key factor in addressing many of the issues you have been experiencing is to alert the Technology Services Desk at the moment they occur.  For instance, if you are using a computer that should be printing to I-Commons printer 2, but is printing to I-Commons printer 1, please let us know right away.  It is very helpful to diagnose a problem and work toward a solution if the staff can see what is happening in the moment.

Below is a previous guest post from Cindy Riche,  Director of Client Support & Educational Technology Services to address your concerns.

Hi, all!  I just wanted to thank everyone for hanging in there as we worked to resolve some start of the semester issues with printing and computers in the library.  We are really sorry for the inconvenience this created for many of you.

We made updates on Friday, Sept.9, that we believe have fixed the problems, but if you continue to experience any issues, please contact the Technology Service Desk at 253.879.8585 or servicedesk@pugetsound.edu.

Thank you so much,

Cindy Riche
