Can we at least get a hot water heater so we can make tea, etc. while at library? It seems like that would be simple enough.
Alas, ‘seems’ is a very appropriate word. The complexities of books, plumbing, and wiring is apparently more like complexity³, rather than the comparatively manageable complexity x 3. We are continuing to work on this, and will keep you updated.

Here is an update from the library director, Jane Carlin:
We are getting a hot water tap downstairs and work should begin by early February 2010. The drinking fountain near the copy room in the basement will be modified to be a hot water tap, along with a work surface providing instant hot water for cocoa and tea!
