LIBRARY LOGGED:

I keep hearing about this great digital online film archive we supposedly have. But I can’t find it! Could we have a link or more information on the main library page? Or at least have it come up in a website search?

We’re glad to hear you’re interested in Films on Demand, Collins Library’s streaming video service, and thanks for letting us know you’re having trouble finding it. Below you’ll see a list of ways to find these films on demand, as well as a list of what we’ve done to try to make it even more accessible.

You can find Films on Demand by:

  • Going to the libary’s home page and clicking Databases A-Z, clicking F, and scrolling down to Films on Demand.
  • If you’re searching the library catalog for a particular film, if we have it via Films on Demand, you’ll find a link to the item thanks to the efforts of the library’s cataloging department. For an example, see this catalog entry for King Lear.
  • By searching for the words Films on Demand in the site search.

We’ve also tried to make the films easier to find by publicizing them. You’ll find more information about Films on Demand posted:

  • On the endcaps of the DVD and video shelving
  • And on the wall display in the Learning Commons with the new book jackets.
