Tips for Detection

• Notice the caution banner prepended to the message. This banner is applied on emails matching patterns of other phishing attempts.
• Technology Services will never ask you to click a link to prevent email deactivation. Legitimate emails from Technology Services will come from an *@pugetsound.edu email address.
• The urgent tone of the email is common in phishing emails. When emails threaten to shut off access to services, always use extra caution.
