Subject: University Equipment Offering: TIG Welder & Tools for Faculty & Staff.

Tips for Detection
- The sender is attempting to impersonate a staff member at the university by manipulating the display name. However, notice that the email address is not an @pugetsound.edu address.
- Beware of offers that are too good to be true. Many recent scams have offered items such as cameras or instruments or welding equipment.
- With this type of phishing, the scammer typically corresponds with you then eventually asks you to send payment for alleged delivery or shipping via Venmo or Zelle or Paypal.
