REASON FOR MAINTENANCE:

  • Technology Services will be temporarily taking down all network equipment in Schiff to replace a battery backup system.

 

WHAT YOU SHOULD KNOW:

  • During the maintenance window, all wired and Wi-Fi network connections in Schiff will go offline for approximately 15 minutes.

  • The North Quad blue emergency tower will go offline for approximately 15 minutes.

REASON FOR MAINTENANCE:

  • One of our campus Internet providers (K20) will be performing maintenance on our primary Internet connection.

 

WHAT YOU SHOULD KNOW:

  • When maintenance on our main K20 Internet connection is performed, the campus firewalls will automatically switch to a secondary Internet connection and campus Internet connections will continue to function.

  • An outage of a minute or two can occur when switching over to the secondary connection.

  • The secondary Internet connection is slower than the main connection, so expect a slower Internet experience while it is active.

  • Once the primary connection is restored, the campus firewalls will automatically switch back to the primary Internet connection.
