Quick Dos and Don’ts!
DO
- Use unique passphrases
- Enable multi-factor authentication or two-step verification
- Monitor transaction activity
- Set up alerts to email or text you
- Know how to contact your bank to report unauthorized transactions or suspicious activity
DON’T
- Transfer money to an unknown individual
- Pay an unknown individual via Zelle, PayPal, Venmo, CashApp, etc
- Tell someone your password or other sensitive personal information
- Tell someone your PIN number, credit card number, or account number
- Fall for social engineering scams including phishing emails, text messages, or calls
