This is a little Chamber of Commerce booklet (Call No. F899.T2 T27) from the 1920s that I’ve used in teaching. It offers information about local attractions, as well as a stunning piece of PR called “Tacoma” by C.E. Stevens, featuring such lines as this: “When from out of chaos nature formed and shaped the earth she had in vision two wondrous creations: One, the Garden of Eden–Paradise Lost; The other, Puget Sound, the Garden of the Gods–Paradise regained.”
