5 things to do on your own around campus

These are the top 5 things I would advise doing while not in class, but on campus.

5. Hanging out in buildings’ lobbies or nooks before/between/after classes

I’ve learned this semester that you can successfully regroup in the quiet halls of buildings while classes are in session.

4. Going to Collins Memorial Library

The library is one of my favorite places. Even if you don’t have homework, it’s a nice quiet place to work on personal projects (media, writing, what have you) or just read a book.

3. Diversions

Grab a coffee and do your homework  or just people watch in this cafe located in the Student Union Building (The SUB).

2. Oppenheimer

If you want a change of scenery from Diversions but still want coffee, you can move your homework over to the translucent Oppenheimer cafe over by the science and math buildings.

1. The upstairs of the SUB

The SUB is not just for eating, but a great place to sit and chat or study for a test. It’s pretty isolating with the buzz of background noise from the main eating area and full of outlets!
