Every year, because I live in AZ and it wouldn’t make sense to go home less than a month before winter break, I go to Oregon with my friend Kelly! Last year, it was just me tagging along with the Van Patten’s, but this year 4 of us came! Our friend Alex, Riley, and Jeremy came to get a feel for the small town of McMinnville and all of its amazingness. We, to the dismay of Kelly, took a picture with the statue of Ben Franklin in the downtown, we walked down to the families quarry, ate a lot of turkey, celebrated Hanukkah, and played with the most loving dogs in the world! We watched a lot of My Fat American Gypsy Wedding and played Cranium with her family (very heated since we’re all geniuses”). I won $33 in a family game called Contento and we went to Portland for a while and ate at the DELICIOUS Bread and Ink Cafe and had an amazing scramble and a lemon with scone with their homemade strawberry jam. I went to a tree farm for the first time, but we couldn’t find a tree up to standards (15-17 tall).
All I could do was summarize just a teeny tiny piece of the trip, but Northwest Thanksgiving are so…fall-y!
Yeah, we already have planned next year! Hope your holidays are great!
