KUPS is awesome!
Monday morning, I woke up to email the head of promotions as quickly as possible and subsequently won tickets to see electronic musician James Blake! The concert was one of the best shows I’ve ever experienced! His voice and words and face just made the night so magical!
Before James hit the stage, L.A. dj/ producer Nosaj Thing opened the show. He played a really fun show in the dark that everyone was swaying to, bobbing their head with every drum kick. He’s produced for some pretty big artists, such as Kid Cudi, and is touring with JAMES FREAKING BLAKE! Here’s Nosaj performing live for KEXP Seattle:
But the concert was so amazing, from his upbeat starter of I Never Learnt to Share to his beautiful encore of Measurements, I felt like I was listening to his recordings. He is almost better live than the songs you can hear on his album that have been edited, because he plays all of his music live instead of using pre-recordings.
