Network:<\/span> <\/span>– Internet Maintenance<\/span><\/span><\/b> <\/span><\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n

Saturday, November 14 from 6 a.m. – 7 a.m.<\/span><\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n

REASON FOR IMPACT: Technology Services will be <\/span>conducting maintenance with our primary Internet provider K20 and moving our internet link to a new fiber transport line.<\/span><\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n

 <\/span><\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION: <\/span><\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n

·         <\/span><\/span><\/span>Brief intermittent Internet outages will occur doing this maintenance.  Outages should be less than a few minutes.  We expect this should only take about 15-20 minutes in total but reserving an hour in the case any issues arise and for troubleshooting.<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n

·         <\/span><\/span><\/span>During outages, inbound and outbound internet traffic will be intermittingly impacted.  This includes using the VPN, email and access to other University resources that are being reached externally through the internet.  These disruptions will be momentary.<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n

·         <\/span><\/span><\/span>Internal networking should function as normal.<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n

·         <\/span><\/span><\/span>Outages will be minimal.  In the event of a longer outage our backup internet line will take over.<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n
