NETWORK: <\/span><\/span><\/b>Library Network Maintenance <\/span><\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n

July 7th<\/sup>, 2020 – 6:45pm to 11:00pm [COMPLETE]<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n

 <\/o:p><\/span><\/b><\/p>\n

SYSTEMS IMPACTED:  <\/span>All Network services will be impacted in Library including VOIP and Wireless.<\/span><\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n

 <\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n

REASON FOR IMPACT: There is currently an issue with some devices going offline that require power over Ethernet (POE) such as Access points for wireless.  To address this issue, Technology Services will be performing a software upgrade and reboot of all the switches in the Library to increase network stability, reliability and interoperability. This maintenance will cause intermittent downtime to all network services and Internet access for periods of 15-30 minutes as the switches are loaded with new firmware and are rebooted.<\/span><\/o:p><\/span><\/b><\/p>\n

In the event that we have a longer than anticipated outage, we will send out an update.<\/span><\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n

All network services including phones\/VOIP, <\/span>remoting into computers or accessing resources (ie cameras<\/span>) in Library via <\/span>the VPN or from other areas on campus will not function<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n
