EMAIL: <\/span><\/span><\/b>Connecting to Email via Outlook<\/span><\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n

June 16, 2020 at 8:30 a.m.<\/o:p><\/b><\/span><\/p>\n

REASON FOR IMPACT: Technology Services has noticed multiple individuals have been unable to access their Puget Sound email via Outlook on their computer. TS is actively working to resolve the issue. If you are unable to access your Puget Sound email via Outlook on your device please try using webmail.pugetsound.edu<\/a> for the interim while Technology Services remediates the issue. Please also notify the Service Desk by emailing them at servicedesk@pugetsound.edu<\/a><\/a><\/span> so they are aware you have been impacted. <\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION: <\/span><\/o:p><\/span><\/b><\/p>\n

·        <\/span><\/span><\/span>Examples of errors received when connecting to Outlook: <\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n

o   <\/span><\/span><\/span>Windows Security Microsoft Outlook prompt for credentials.<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n

o   <\/span><\/span><\/span>Cannot start Microsoft Outlook. <\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n

o   <\/span><\/span><\/span>Cannot open the Outlook window. <\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n

o   <\/span><\/span><\/span>The set of folders cannot be opened. <\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n

o   <\/span><\/span><\/span>The file (file path here) is not an Outlook data file (.ost).<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n

o   <\/span><\/span><\/span>Note this is happening for various users on both Mac and PC and different versions of Outlook<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n
