NETWORK: <\/span><\/span><\/b>SWITCH MAINTENANCE <\/span><\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n

Friday, July 27 from 6:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m.<\/o:p><\/b><\/span><\/p>\n

REASON FOR IMPACT: Technology Services is performing maintenance on our Cisco switches to increase network stability, reliability and interoperability with our newer Juniper switches. While this maintenance should not cause any outages or loss of network\/ Internet access, there is a small chance that we would need to reboot a switch to finish our configuration. In that scenario there would be a brief, 3-5 minute network outage for a small area of a building while the reboot occurs. During the maintenance window this evening, if you do notice that you are no longer able to access the network, please wait for a few minutes and try again. <\/span><\/o:p><\/span><\/b><\/p>\n

·       <\/span><\/span><\/span>In the event that we have a longer than anticipated outage, we will send an email out via this listserve and we will notify Security Services.<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n

·       <\/span><\/span><\/span>This maintenance will not impact Jones Hall as we replaced the Cisco switches in that building with Juniper switches last summer.<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n
