When I came to Ireland, I had two VERY IMPORTANT things I wanted to do\/see. \u00a0I shall explain both of them.<\/p>\n

The first one is related to the book The Wish List <\/em>by Eoin Colfer (of Artemis Fowl<\/em> fame). \u00a0In it, a man explains that there are many things people must do before they die, but one of them is spit over the Cliffs of Moher.<\/p>\n

So I did that.<\/p>\n

Just for reference, the Cliffs are actually worth seeing and not just spitting over.<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/a><\/p>\n

Beautiful. \u00a0I got there at sunset with my dad and it was marvelous. \u00a0Don’t go on a rainy day, though, and when you inevitably jump the shoddy fence to get really close to the edge, BE CAREFUL. \u00a0Make sure the cliff isn’t undercut (that it’s straight down rather than carved out underneath) because<\/p>\n

that is a really long way down. \u00a0(Again, photo credit is my father)<\/p>\n

Anyway, that’s Life Goal Number One down!<\/p>\n

Life Goal Number Two owes itself to Where The Hell Is Matt?<\/a>, or at least that’s the source I can remember. \u00a0I wanted to experience the Giant’s Causeway<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Oh man. \u00a0It was exactly what I’d hoped for. \u00a0The beginning was worryingly touristy, with a gift shop and a lot of people with maps and cameras and audioguides (I got one and named it Stephen). \u00a0There were mobs of people streaming out of that center on the short hike to the Causeway itself. \u00a0I got nervous.<\/p>\n

Then I saw the herd thinning out, and once we reached the Causeway, the cowards backed away from the slippery rocks, the roaring sea, the shaky or sheer stones littering the Causeway.<\/p>\n

I started climbing.<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/a><\/p>\n

It was magnificent.<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/a><\/p>\n

What can I say, rock formations make me happy!<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/a><\/p>\n
