Accounts: <\/strong>Use long and unique passphrases for each account. This ensures the other accounts are safe if one is compromised. Use an offline password manager to securely store passwords. Enable multi-factor authentication (MFA). Delete any inactive accounts that you haven’t accessed in over a year.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Programs:<\/strong> Check if your devices are up to date and\/or automatic updates are turned on. If not, update them. Remove any unused programs and devices.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Old Devices:<\/strong> Before disposing of any old devices such as old smartphone or smart home devices, ensure that you have wiped any personal information from them first.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Social Media:<\/strong> Review you social media accounts’ privacy settings.
