I sat down with senior Economics major, Sophie Kornick, to ask her about her thesis. \u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

What did you do your senior thesis on?<\/span><\/i><\/p>\n

I examined if there was a correlation between firm size and the gender wage gap.<\/span><\/p>\n

What did you expect to find?<\/span><\/i><\/p>\n

I thought that the gender wage gap would get bigger as the firm\u2019s size got bigger.<\/span><\/p>\n

What did you actually find?<\/span><\/i><\/p>\n

I was surprised to find that as firm size got bigger, the gender wage gap actually got smaller.<\/span><\/p>\n

How did you get interested in this topic?<\/span><\/i><\/p>\n

I was in Andrew Monaco\u2019s Industrial Organization class and he talked about an article on this topic in class.<\/span><\/p>\n

What was your favorite part of your thesis?<\/span><\/i><\/p>\n

I loved making my poster and putting lots of glitter on it.<\/span><\/p>\n
