Some of the excellent resources on the African American experience are documented by photographs, paintings, illustrations, cultural objects, sculpture, and prints from museums, archives, and private collections.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<\/div>\n<div style=\"margin: 0\"><\/div>\n<div style=\"margin: 0\"><span style=\"font-family: Calibri,sans-serif;font-size: small\"><span style=\"font-size: 11pt\">To commemorate the 1963 March on Washington, I have compiled a <a href=\"http:\/\/library.artstor.org\/library\/welcome.html#3%7Cimagegroup%7C649543%7C%7CInstitutional20Folders203E20Black20History20Month20323031332026gt3B203139363320March20on20Washington2028333529%7Cfldr_534110%7Ctrue%7C\" target=\"_blank\">collection of 34 photographs<\/a> from ARTstor. The powerful images show the faces of demonstrators who gathered at the Lincoln Memorial, and demanded civil rights and economic equality for African Americans. You can also get a sense of the size of the crowds which numbered some 250,000, one of the largest demonstrations in Washington, DC.<\/span><\/span><\/div>\n<div style=\"margin: 0\"><\/div>\n<div style=\"margin: 0\"><\/div>\n<div style=\"margin: 0\"><span style=\"font-family: Calibri,sans-serif;font-size: small\"><span style=\"font-size: 11pt\">In addition, Wallace Weston has created a folder of 52 images by prominent <a href=\"http:\/\/library.artstor.org\/library\/welcome.html#3%7Cimagegroup%7C655079%7C%7CInstitutional20Folders203E20Aftrican20American2026gt3B20Aftrican2DAmerican20from20ARTstor2028353229%7Cfldr_542865%7Cfalse%7C\" target=\"_blank\">African American artists<\/a>.
