Since many of you are new to campus, we thought we\u2019d take a moment to highlight what the A&amp;SC has to offer. A great place to start exploring our collections is <a href=\"https:\/\/www.pugetsound.edu\/academics\/academic-resources\/collins-memorial-library\/archives\/\">our website<\/a>. The website highlights both the physical and digital resources available to you in the Archives &amp; Special Collections.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Physical Resources:<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Since we do not lend out the items in our collections, you\u2019ll need to visit us to see most of our materials. Don\u2019t worry, we are friendly and we love getting research questions &#8211; so don\u2019t hesitate to stop by! If you are interested in a particular subject or item, send us an email at <a href=\"mailto:archives@pugetsound.edu\">archives@pugetsound.edu<\/a> to set up a research appointment.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/www.pugetsound.edu\/academics\/academic-resources\/collins-memorial-library\/archives\/university-archives-records-management\/\">University Records<\/a><br \/>\nWe have a wide range of university records that document our campus\u2019 history from its founding in 1888. Visit us to view a complete collection of the Tamanawas yearbooks, student handbooks, alumni magazines, student publications, photograph collection, and historical artifacts.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/www.pugetsound.edu\/academics\/academic-resources\/collins-memorial-library\/archives\/manuscript-collections\/\">Manuscript Collections<\/a><br \/>\nThe archives also collects materials that focus on a person\u2019s life or organization\u2019s history. Many of our manuscript collections relate to Pacific Northwest history or issues of social justice. To browse some of our manuscript collections, visit <a href=\"http:\/\/archiveswest.orbiscascade.org\/search\/results.aspx?t=i&amp;q=watu&amp;p=0\">Archives West<\/a>, a website containing our collection inventories.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li>Rare Books<br \/>\nWe have hundreds of rare and unique books for you to read and research in the Archives &amp; Special Collections. Search <a href=\"https:\/\/alliance-primo.hosted.exlibrisgroup.com\/primo-explore\/search?vid=UPUGS&amp;lang=en_US&amp;sortby=rank\">Primo<\/a>, the online library catalog, for any subjects you\u2019re interested in and select the \u201cCollins Memorial Library Archives and Special Collections\u201d filter to narrow your results to items found in the A&amp;SC.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong><a href=\"http:\/\/blogs.pugetsound.edu\/collinsunbound\/files\/2019\/09\/9-18-19_SoundPast.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignleft wp-image-11424\" src=\"http:\/\/blogs.pugetsound.edu\/collinsunbound\/files\/2019\/09\/9-18-19_SoundPast.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"366\" height=\"246\" \/><\/a>Online Resources:<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>We have multiple digital resources that make it easy for you to do research from home!<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><a href=\"http:\/\/digitalcollections.pugetsound.edu\/cdm\/landingpage\/collection\/upsimages\">A Sound Past<\/a><br \/>\nA Sound Past is our digital historical photograph collection. Curated by A&amp;SC volunteer John Finney \u201967, the images reflect campus life from its founding in 1888 through the 1990s. The photos found in A Sound Past only reflect a portion of what is contained in the archives, but it\u2019s a great place to start!<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/soundideas.pugetsound.edu\/thetrail\/\"><em>The Trail<\/em><\/a><br \/>\nInterested in reading past <em>Trail<\/em> articles? Our digitized collection of <em>The Trail<\/em> is a near-complete run of the student newspaper from 1895 through the present. <em>The Trail<\/em> is completely text-searchable, making research simpler than ever!<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/soundideas.pugetsound.edu\/bulletins\/\">The Bulletin<\/a><br \/>\nInterested in which courses used to be offered at Puget Sound? Curious about what school rules and policies were like in the past? Visit our collection of bulletins online to learn about the academic history of Puget Sound.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/soundideas.pugetsound.edu\/filmarchive\/\">Film archive<\/a><br \/>\nWant to catch a glimpse of Puget Sound\u2019s past? Visit the film archive to see unique videos of our campus.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li><a href=\"http:\/\/digitalcollections.pugetsound.edu\/cdm\/landingpage\/collection\/ephemera\">Puget Sound Ephemera<\/a><br \/>\nEphemera consists of materials that were never meant to last: ticket stubs, programs, invitations, announcements, and other items.
