Although the text in the original German was first published in 1929, this \u201cunauthorized\u201d English translation by Stackpole and Sons was published in 1939 with the tagline \u201cThis Edition Pays No Royalty to Adolf Hitler\u201d. This edition was only available for three months because of copyright issues, but it sold over 12,000 copies in that time period.<\/p>\n<p>The impetus to publish this translation is stated on the book jacket: \u201cWith the appearance of this volume, Hitler\u2019s censorship ends, and the work which Dorothy Thompson calls \u201cHitler\u2019s blueprint of world conquest\u201d is at last available to readers everywhere.\u201d<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/blogs.pugetsound.edu\/125books\/files\/2012\/06\/MeinKampf2.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-medium wp-image-274\" src=\"http:\/\/blogs.pugetsound.edu\/125books\/files\/2012\/06\/MeinKampf2-300x209.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"300\" height=\"209\" srcset=\"https:\/\/blogs.pugetsound.edu\/125books\/files\/2012\/06\/MeinKampf2-300x209.jpg 300w, https:\/\/blogs.pugetsound.edu\/125books\/files\/2012\/06\/MeinKampf2-624x435.jpg 624w, https:\/\/blogs.pugetsound.edu\/125books\/files\/2012\/06\/MeinKampf2.jpg 700w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 300px) 100vw, 300px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>1939: Mein Kampf Author\/Editor: Adolf Hitler Find it in Collins Library!
