Velkommen til Poulsbo!

Summer has ended, and it’s good to be back at Puget Sound. Before I moved back onto campus, I came up a little early and stayed with my some of my parents’ high school friends at their beach house in Southworth! One of the last days I was there, we took a trip up to Poulsbo, the neat Scandinavian town known as “Little Norway”. The whole town was full of photo opps, so I thought I’d share some of my favorites from our visit!

Walking along Viking Street, I made a fabulous, furry friend! Meet Dude, the 145 pound Alaskan Malamute.

Driving back to the beach house, we got caught in a CRAZY rainstorm, which made me remember how much I missed the rain! Since just the ladies went to Poulsbo, my dad and his buddy Rick went out and fulfilled one of my dad’s lifelong dreams: Salmon fishing! I was so excited to see them and their catch when I got home (though not as excited as my dad was, he was practically like a kid in a candy shop). Here’s a picture of Rick (left) and my dad (right) with the delicious Silver and Pink Salmon they caught for dinner that night. Priceless!

Lookit those smiles! Pure joy.
